6. Your files
You own the files you scan, import and create. They stay on your device and are not uploaded to us. You are responsible for your files and for having the right to process them, including documents that belong to other people.
The rules for using PDF Scanner.
Last updated: October 16, 2026
By downloading, installing or using PDF Scanner ("the App"), made by NexLab Studios ("NexLab", "we"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Android devices you own or control, for personal or professional use.
You may scan, view, edit, merge, split, compress, convert, sign, protect and redact PDF and image files that you have the right to use.
You may not copy, modify, sell, rent or distribute the App; reverse engineer it; remove its notices; use it unlawfully; or get around its limits, ads or subscription checks.
The App does not require an account. Your documents are processed on your phone, as described in the Privacy Policy.
PDF Scanner offers an optional Premium subscription (monthly or yearly). Prices, billing periods and what Premium includes are shown in the App and on Google Play before you buy, in your local currency. A price change applies at your next renewal after notice from Google Play.
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Some tools can be unlocked for a limited time by watching a rewarded ad, and the document scanner is free. We do not control the ads shown. Premium removes ads.
You own the files you scan, import and create. They stay on your device and are not uploaded to us. You are responsible for your files and for having the right to process them, including documents that belong to other people.
You agree not to use the App to process illegal or harmful material, to forge or alter documents in order to deceive, to infringe anyone's rights, to interfere with the App's security or ads, or to breach any law that applies to you. We may limit or end access if you do.
The App, its design, code and graphics belong to NexLab and are protected by law. Third-party libraries keep their own licences.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it works on every device or PDF file, or that third-party services (Google Play, AdMob, Firebase, Google ML Kit) will always be available.
To the extent the law allows, NexLab is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of files or data, loss of profit, or errors in tool output. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 10 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these Terms removes rights you have under mandatory consumer law where you live.
You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Cancel any subscription in Google Play first to avoid further charges. We may suspend or end access if you break these Terms. Sections that by their nature should continue (ownership, warranty, liability) continue after use ends.
We may update these Terms. The date above will change, and for significant changes we will try to tell you in the App or in the update notes. If you keep using the App after a change, you accept the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar, and the courts of Doha have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have in your country. We will first try to settle any dispute in good faith. If a part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
