How to split a PDF

  1. Choose your PDF — the page count appears once it loads.
  2. Enter the pages you want, such as 1-3, 7, 12-15, or pick "Every page separately".
  3. Click Split and preview. A page range gives you one result; every-page creates a selectable result for each page.

Common questions

What does the page range syntax mean?

1-3 means pages 1, 2 and 3. 5 means just page 5. 1-3, 5, 8-10 combines them, giving you an 7-page file. Pages come out in the order you list them, so 5, 1 puts page 5 first.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The split runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your PDF is never sent over the internet, which also means the tool keeps working with no connection once the page has loaded.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

Not here — encrypted PDFs need the password removed first. PDF Scanner can do that on your phone.

Why does "every page separately" create several results?

Each page becomes its own PDF, so a 10-page document produces 10 result files. Select any file to preview it, then download only the ones you need.
