Easy Chat has no account. Here is how to remove its data.

Easy Chat has no account

You do not create an account, username or password to use Easy Chat, so there is no account for us to delete and we hold no numbers, messages, statuses or personal profile about you on our own servers. Everything the app stores is on your phone, and you control it.

Delete the data stored on your phone

  1. Open Android Settings, then Apps, then Easy Chat.
  2. Tap Storage, then Clear storage (or Clear data). This removes your recent and favourite numbers, templates, scheduled reminders, App Lock PIN, settings and the Message Log.
  3. To remove the app too, tap Uninstall.

To remove only some data, use the app itself: Settings, Clear History removes recent numbers, and the Message Log screen can clear all captured messages.

Statuses and QR codes you saved are ordinary files in your gallery, in the EasyChat folder under Pictures and Movies. Delete them in your gallery or file manager.

Stop the Message Log

To stop Easy Chat reading notifications, open Android Settings, search for Notification access, and switch Easy Chat off. Clear the Message Log first if you also want its saved entries gone.

Cancel an Easy Chat Pro subscription

Clearing data or uninstalling does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in Google Play: open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions, Easy Chat, Cancel subscription. Refunds are handled by Google Play.

Data held by Google services

Some data is collected by Google services the app uses (advertising and billing). You can manage it yourself:

  • Advertising ID: Android Settings, Google, Ads, Delete advertising ID, or turn off ad personalisation.
  • Ad and consent choices: in the app, Settings, Ad privacy choices (shown where it applies to you).
  • Your Google activity: myaccount.google.com.
