How to make a QR code

  1. Pick what the code should contain — a link, plain text, a phone number, an email, an SMS or Wi-Fi details.
  2. Fill in the fields. The code updates as you type.
  3. Choose a size and click Download PNG.

Common questions

Do QR codes expire?

Not these ones. The content is encoded directly into the pattern, so the code works forever and does not depend on this site staying online. Codes from services that shorten or track links stop working if that service disappears — these don't.

Is anything tracked?

No. There is no redirect and no analytics inside the code. Whoever scans it goes straight to whatever you entered.

How does the Wi-Fi one work?

It encodes your network name, password and security type in the standard format Android and iOS both recognise. Scanning it offers to join the network without typing the password. Be careful where you display it — anyone who scans it gets your Wi-Fi password.

Why did my code get denser?

More content means more data to encode, so the pattern gets finer. Long links still scan reliably, but if you plan to print small, keep the content short.
