How it works

  1. Pick the country code and enter the phone number — no dashes or spaces needed.
  2. Optionally write a message that'll be pre-filled when the chat opens.
  3. Click Generate — you'll get a wa.me link that opens a chat with that number directly.
  4. Copy the link to share it, or open it right away — no contact gets saved to your phone.

Why use a WhatsApp link instead of saving the contact

Saving a number just to send one message clutters your contact list — and once you've messaged someone on WhatsApp, they can see your profile photo and status updates indefinitely, even after you delete the chat. A WhatsApp link (wa.me) starts the conversation without adding them anywhere. It's the same mechanism businesses use for "Chat with us" buttons on their websites, and it works identically for personal one-off messages — delivery drivers, marketplace buyers and sellers, service providers, or anyone you'll likely never message again.
